Dining Manners = มารยาทบนโต๊ะอาหาร

As I mentioned, last week I had been given an opportunity to do a (really) short course on Thai culture – Introductory lesson to a local company. There were 25 attendees, majority were Singaporean, also included a couple of Malaysian, and one lovely Burmese (who managed to answer my ‘tricked’ question correctly). I shared with them many things, started from a very (very) basic useful Thai phrases, Thai beliefs, Thai’s Do’s and Dont’s.

I managed to find the video below from youtube and I think it is very informative. You need not understand Thai in order to understand this short clip of 2 minutes. I spotted a few participants (or more than a few?) laughing, and they didn’t speak any Thai, so I am sure you – non-Thai speaker – should be able to enjoy it too.

After you have watched the clip, let’s discuss what to do and what not to do at the dining table when dining with your Thai friends.
